Local dog rescue charity, the Forever Hounds Trust, is appealing for a home for a very special lurcher called Badger, who is being looked after near Bath.

Take one look at Badger and you will see how he got his name. This handsome, medium sized black and white dog has a white stripe down his nose just like a badger. Sadly, this young dog had a terrible start in life, when he was found shivering under a bush in Ireland. He was taken in by Forever Hounds Trust (formerly GRWE Greyhound Rescue West of England) and brought to their kennels locally.

Since then he has transformed into a healthy and handsome dog, and is starting to gain some confidence. Unfortunately, he has not yet found his forever home and after a year with the Trust, it is time he moved into a home of his own.

Jan Lake, Trustee of Forever Hounds Trust, said: “Badger is a truly lovely boy who has sadly had a terrible start in life. He really deserves to find a loving home that he can call his own. He will make a great companion.”

The team of volunteers at the charity have been working with Badger to help him gain confidence and learn how to enjoy life.
