FIREFIGHTERS rushed to the scene of a blazing car on the A38 near Axbridge last night (May 12).
Fire control received calls reporting a vehicle fire at Bristol Road, Rooks Bridge, Axbridge and dispatched one appliance from Cheddar.
On arrival, crews confirmed one vehicle was well alight and used one breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the flames, which completely destroyed the vehicle.
The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
