The end of school usually allows students the freedom to do something crazy with their hair, or in the case of Year 11 student, Catlyn Stephens, shave it off completely!
Catlyn, a Writhlington School student, shaved off her hair at the end of term to raise money for Cancer Research as a way to support family members who have experience with cancer.
The event caused quite a stir at the school, with spectators placing bids on Catlyn's pre-shaved individual plaits and Deputy Head, Nicholas Russon, helping to shave her hair.
Catlyn spent the last few days of the school year collecting her donations.
