Last Wednesday, 14th September, staff from CFH Docmail, Westfield, joined forces with cyclists across the country to encourage more employees to cycle to work. Fifteen staff, including Chairman, Dave Broadway, clocked up an impressive 280 miles.

Denise White, who set up the initiative, said: “This was a great way for us to demonstrate how small actions can make a difference to the environment, whilst improving our fitness and having fun, too.”

Members of staff taking part were: Dave Broadway (Chairman), Adam Harwood (Managing Director), Ali Davie (Production Support Manager), Jeremy Field, Louise Hale, Hayley Young, Steve Gulliford, Jayne Gay, Mark Riddle, Paul Turner, Neil Rowden, Phil Smisson, Sara Elliott, Matt McArdle and Wayne Dunn.

Staff were riding for the charity, Cyclists Fighting Cancer, which enables children and young people living with cancer across the UK to regain their physical fitness, strength and confidence by giving them new bikes, adapted trikes, tandems and other equipment and support. It helps children to be active whilst undergoing cancer treatment, building strength and helping mental well-being.
