Local gardens taking part in the National Garden Scheme, which raises money for cancer charities will be opening on:

Architectural terraces transformed from sloping land with a profusion of plants capitalising on the view of Wells Cathedral and the vale of Avalon. Herbaceous borders and blooming roses flourish by the pond and well tended lawns. Cross the road to the peaceful Combe, a seven-acre woodland garden, in peaceful contrast to the formal garden of Milton Lodge.

Plants will be on sale as well as tea and cake.

Wander around the corner to see the unexpected, a small town garden which has grown to a 1/3 acre. Some areas newly-redesigned over winter.

Take a closer look at the productive vegetable beds, herbaceous borders, a wild meadow area as well as far reaching views.

An exhibition of the garden owner’s photography from near and far is displayed in the summer house.
