The local community came together last Friday, braving the cold and wet weather, to celebrate the Christmas Lights Switch-on in Midsomer Norton.

After enjoying the spectacular ‘Carols by Laserlight’ at the local Methodist Church, which saw the building spectacularly lit up for the evening, families enjoyed a range of seasonal classics, thanks to the Midsomer Norton & Radstock Silver Band, before and after the big countdown.

Meanwhile, queues of excited children visited Father Christmas and joined in a range of craft activities in the Hollies Garden.

The Community Trust and Churches Together would like to extend their thanks to the local community groups and businesses which embraced the event and made it such a special evening, as well as the main sponsors, Midsomer Norton Town Council.
