A church in Peasedown St John is taking part in a district-wide initiative over the next 6 weeks to keep children enthused and inspired during the Summer Holidays.

St John’s Church is part of the Unlikely Heroes Virtual Holiday Club.

Church Children’s Pastor, Rob Bubyer, said: “We’re putting together a weekly video that comes out each Saturday. It will have crafts, songs, games, reports of the unlikely heroes that are found in the Bible, plus memory verses and different charities to support too.

"To access the holiday club all you need to do is type ‘Unlikely Heroes Holiday Club’ into YouTube and subscribe to the channel.”

Children attending Soul Kids, or Sunday School, each week at the church can also take part in the Holiday Club. St John’s Church has been open for worship, including children’s activities, since July 5 – whilst following government guidelines on social distancing.
