Despite a couple of heavy showers, the Norton Radstock Classic Vehicle Club’s (NRCVC) recent Annual Gathering at Camerton was a success.

Over 400 classic cars were there which, considering the weather forecast, was a good turnout; the public car park was full all day.

I am a little embarrassed to say that the DB Joinery

Trophy for the Best Club Car at the event was awarded, by an independent judge, to my 1946 Daimler DE27!

Another prize, the inaugural award, went to Dennis Wiltshire for the Best Cake in the Men’s Cake Competition. In all, thirteen entries were judged by an independent

expert, so well done to everyone for rising to the challenge!

I would like to thank, in particular, our Membership Secretary, Dennis Wiltshire, and his wife, Heather, who took on the organisation this year; Margaret and Stuart Tibbs, Antony Godfrey, Andy Goard, and Sue Pay, and also all the volunteers from the Club who set up the event and helped out on the day to make it run so seamlessly and those who made cakes or savouries for sale.
