The Jenny Peplow Singers and Kilmersdon Church of England Primary School are joining together to raise money for local pupil, Henry.

Henry is a six year-old boy from Midsomer Norton living with Cerebral Palsy, which means he is unable to walk or stand unaided. Henry has been accepted to have an operation called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, which has been booked for early summer.

Henry’s mum, Lara, has done an amazing and inspiring job raising a huge amount of money, with the help of friends and family, as well as organising all the hospital appointments and therapies for Henry. Both Henry and Lara always have a smile on their faces, despite the challenges they face. Lara is working tirelessly to raise £65,000, which is the total amount needed in order for Henry to receive his operation. They have currently raised £32,855.

The next event to raise money is a concert with the Jenny Peplow Singers and Kilmersdon CofE Primary School Choir on Saturday, 25th January at 2 p.m. in the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Kilmersdon. Everyone is welcome and all donations will go to the Helping Henry Campaign.
