Tabor Independent Methodist Church
Tabor welcomed Rev Ian Souter to lead worship, his theme being God is Love. He pointed out the four attributes of God: all-powerful, all-knowing, present everywhere and all-loving. In certain situations, people may say, “Nothing can be done!” This diminishes the power and greatness of God.
He is all-knowing — more than today’s AI! Everything was created by Him and He is everywhere in the universe and the world; no place or person is beyond His love.
(This brought back memories for me of the song we used to sing as children in Sunday School: Jesus’ love is very wonderful. So high you can’t get over it, so low you can’t get under it, so wide you can’t get round it. O wonderful love!)
The message to be taken from the sermon was: “Rest in His love and tell others.”
The next service at Tabor is at 11 am on February 15, when we welcome a return visit from Mrs Pat Heynes. All are welcome to any of our services or events, details of which are on the noticeboard outside the church in North Road.

SUNDAY morning worship was led by Rev Julian Albrow. His service was entitled “What Does God Ask of You?”
He had the congregation in fits of laughter with his story about Mrs Green and her budgerigar. It tied in wonderfully with the scripture readings from Micah and the Beatitudes in St Matthew’s Gospel.
Sunday morning worship at 10.30 am will be led by Rev David Winstanley and will include Holy Communion. All are welcome.
