Addicted to Facebook? Instagram? Always checking your feed? Looking up the answer to that annoying question? Self-confessed phone addict, and one of the local Tesco Managers, Faye, has accepted a challenge to live without her mobile phone for a whole 24 hours to raise money for the ‘Help for Henry’ campaign.
Faye will have no access to social media, messages, or the internet for 24 long hours. The challenge will start at 10 a.m. this Friday, 4th October.
People in the local area are hard at work fundraising for six-year-old Henry, from Midsomer Norton, whose family are trying to raise £65,000 for life-changing surgery and physiotherapy for him.
Henry has cerebral palsy spastic diplegia, which affects his lower limbs and he has been approved for a type of surgery that could significantly help him in future.
Local groups and organisations have been hosting fundraising events and one very kind Journal reader sent cash to our office for Henry’s cause following our front page story – a big thank you to them.
Readers can sponsor Faye using the form at customer services, or, if you wish to make a donation, please ask for the store’s Community Champion, Beckie Eschle.
