Creativity Works are excited to offer a new project to support staff wellbeing. Free inspiring, uplifting and energising creative activities have been created for people who work in caring and support roles across Bath & North East Somerset.

Organised by Creativity Works and funded by the Workforce Development fund and supported by HCRG Care Group the project will run between August to October 2022. This new offer is for teams of staff who work in health & social care roles and for Care Home staff and residents.

The project offers free inspiring creative sessions provided by experienced artists especially developed to support the wellbeing of staff who work in caring roles and for Care Homes across B&NES. Music, arts and crafts, creative writing, outdoor activities, dance and relaxation are delivered by experienced artists.

Attendees of previous events have nothing but good things to say about the inspiring creative opportunities:

“Without exception the creative activities you have shared with us have enhanced the well-being of participating members and stimulated their confidence and creativity.”

“It can be hard to find locally accessible wellbeing/ creative activities that overcome the barriers of transport and suitable venues, and source facilitators confident to engage with people with disabilities. Your artistic facilitators who visit our own venues make this a practical possibility.”

“It was possible to see members’ energy and enjoyment rising and their eyes shining and every person there voted for the artist to return. The 1:1 carers and support workers also benefitted and were stimulated. Ideas discussed with the lead worker included the opportunity to develop peer led cascading of learning from the session to other members. The whole experience clearly has great potential.”

As well as music, shows, arts and crafts, Creativity Works also work in partnernship with nature, outdoors and moving environmental organisations such as EcoWild in High Littleton:

NatureWell - with EcoWildFeel inspired and rejuvenated through the 5 Pathways to Nature Connectedness; Contact, Beauty, Emotion, Compassion and Meaning. A half day workshop with indoor spaces for warmth and shelter, and making the most of the approaching Autumn outdoors, as much as weather allows. You will be supported to cultivate your own wellbeing, get to know a beautiful setting and share with each other.
