Despite the weather of the past few weeks, volunteer ladies from Dash of Kindness (an initiative of B&NES) have run from Welton to Meadow View, Radstock, to help Radstock In Bloom prepare the ground to make a wildflower bed ready for 2018.

For about thirty minutes of a Monday evening, the ladies have dug out the weeds and turned the soil. Over the winter months, the team will keep on top of the plot prior to sowing seed next spring. Chair of Radstock In Bloom, Royston Knight, said: “Our thanks are due to these young women for volunteering to turn out these winter evenings and prepare this bed for us. We are very grateful for their energy, enthusiasm and commitment, and hope, as a community, we will all be able to enjoy this bed of wildflowers next year.”
