Last week’s Mystery Photograph was exactly that – a mystery! A reader sent it in to us as it has been puzzling him for years. The most popular answer that came back to us was for Lower Writhlington Colliery – you can decide if you think it is!
Thanks to Peter Van Peborgh, Jonathan Griffin, Les Wilkins, Paul Rendell, Mary Miller, John Roberts, Frankie Ford and Marilyn Davis, who have all been in touch to suggest Writhlington. Facebookers on The Journal page suggested Ston Easton, Millards Hill, Coombend and Radford – just to throw in a few curveballs!
The previous week’s Mystery Photograph was taken at Churchill’s shop, Peasedown St John. Marilyn Davis recognised the picture, as she used to live next door to the Churchills on Church Road. She says the shop later became a greengrocers.
So, to this week’s photograph – kindly provided by Radstock Musuem. If you think you know where this week’s Mystery
Photograph was taken and would like a mention, please email: [email protected]
