There is still time to sign up for the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Bath this Sunday, 20th March. Lots of local people have already signed up to run one, three, or six miles, but there’s still time to bag a place, don your deeley-boppers and do yourself proud!

Cllr Martin Veal (Conservative, Bathavon North), Bath and North East Somerset Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: “It’s great to see that so many people have already signed up, but we want even more people from across the area to take part and make it the best Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile yet. So let’s show the rest of the country what we can do and raise as much money as we possibly can for this incredible cause!”

This year’s Mile will take place at Odd Down Sports Ground with everyone meeting at the start point at 11 a.m. The route will make use of the cycle circuit and woods next to the playing fields; with 1 mile, 3 mile and 6 mile route options available.

Tonight (Friday, 18th March) the BBC will treat the nation to a special night of Sport Relief TV, which includes James Corden’s character ‘Smithy’ making a big comeback and announcing his intention to run for FIFA President.

Then, on Sunday 20th, March it’s over to Bath and North East Somerset residents to come together and take part in the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games, helping to transform the lives of people living here in the UK and around the world. Enter the Bath Mile by signing up at www.sportrelief.com
