Newly-released Cinema continues at Midsomer Norton Town Hall with three films next weekend. First up will be two films screened on Saturday, 14th April. At 2.30 p.m. is Aardman’s latest adventure, Early Man.

Early Man tells the story of how plucky caveman Dug, along with sidekick Hognob, unites his tribe against the mighty Bronze Age in a battle to beat them at their own game. It also marks Nick Park’s first feature film since Academy Award-winning Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

Then at 7.30 p.m., will be a screening of The Mercy starring Colin Firth and Rachel Weisz. The film tells the incredible story of amateur sailor, Donald Crowhurst and his solo attempt to circumnavigate the globe. His disastrous attempt to win the 1968 Golden Globe Race ends up with him creating an outrageous account of travelling the world alone by sea. The struggles he confronted on the journey while his family awaited his return is one of the most enduring mysteries of recent times.

The third and final film screening of the weekend will be another chance to catch the superb Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri on Sunday, 15th April at 6 p.m. A mother personally challenges the local authorities to solve her daughter’s murder when they fail to catch the culprit. The film stars Frances McDormand, Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson.

All films feature cinema quality HD projection on the big screen with full surround sound, comfy cinema seating and refreshments. The new screenings have proven extremely popular, with many selling out – so booking in advance is recommended at: www.midsomernortoncommunitytrust.co.uk
