The Easter weekend saw record numbers of visitors join us for hot cross buns and Easter biscuits served in the refurbished buffet car. There was an Easter Egg Hunt for the children and, of course, everyone enjoyed a train ride or two behind steam loco, Austin 1.

The two diesels were in operation, either assisting the steam loco or pulling a demonstration freight train. The weather was glorious and visitors were able to enjoy a look around the museum and pill box. It was lovely to welcome so many people to the station and we look forward to welcoming many more throughout the season.

The Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) is now on site being prepared for its first outing at the ‘Changeover years gala’ this coming weekend, 22nd – 24th April.
