A new five-week course at Bath College will teach beginners the basic skills needed for creative floristry – from button-holes to bouquets.

The free course runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays from September 8th at Bath College’s Somer Valley Campus in Radstock.

People aged nineteen and over are encouraged to sign up and take part in the free course organised by the Adult Community Learning team.

Students will take part in practical activities run by floristry tutor, Becky Jeffery and will be able to take away their creations to show off at home.

Courses run by the Adult Community Learning team are aimed at people who are not in education or employment and want to learn in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Bath College is also working with the Sirona Greenlinks potting shed allotment group, which meets on Wednesday mornings.

The group is about to start a new course learning how to improve the Leigh House Radstock allotment site. New members are welcome.

To sign up to the floristry course, ring Lynsey Parsons on: (01225) 328822 or call Vicki Chapman on: (01761) 433161 extension number 330.
