This term, Welton Primary School has been studying the local area as part of a school-wide project. Each class has spent time investigating and exploring different areas.

Some classes have been writing persuasive leaflets and stories, some have explored local parks, some have been to visit local churches and secondary schools and all have been to Radstock Museum.

Local ex-miner, Selwyn Rees, recently gave up his time to come into school for an assembly, where the children could ask him questions about his time working in the mines.

It was a great opportunity for the children to speak to someone who had actually experienced some of the things they have been learning about.
