What plans do you have for National Tree Week? This annual celebration to mark the start of the winter tree planting season will begin on 26th November through to 4th December.
Students from St Mary’s Primary (Writhlington) have made an early start and planted some fruit trees in their school grounds, thanks to support from local electricity company, Western Power Distribution (WPD).
Mike Tout, from Western Power, who joined the children for the planting session, said: “The children involved in planting had lots of fun and are looking forward to seeing the fruits of their labour once the trees are established.”
The planting was made possible due to the partnership
