Pupils, staff and parents from the St Nicholas Church of England Primary School in Radstock undertook a sponsored walk along the cycle path into Midsomer Norton towards the end of last year.

The event was a huge success, and more than 250 parents and children from four to eleven-years-old enjoyed the challenge, raising an amazing £1,400 which will go to develop SWALLOW’s services supporting teenagers and adults with learning

disabilities. The money was presented to the charity last Thursday at the SWALLOW Community Café in Radstock.

Nicola Smith, Head Teacher at St Nicholas Primary School, said: “The children were keen to raise money for a local charity, and the School Council visited SWALLOW’s Community Café just opposite us and met some of the SWALLOW members and staff who work there. We are delighted to raise money for such a worthwhile cause.”
