Local children will have something to look forward to this Easter, thanks to generous businesses who have been donating chocolate eggs in their hundreds. Simple Recruitment, based on the Somer Valley Enterprise Park, in Paulton, have collected a whopping 400 Easter eggs to donate to various local children's charities and the idea seems to be gathering momentum year on year.

The eggs, which will be given to Children's Hospice South West, the Children's Ward at the R.U.H. and the Wallace and Gromit Appeal at Bristol Children's Hospital, have all been

donated by local businesses from across the region and from as far afield as Weston-super-Mare. One Bath-based company matched donations already collected, giving five crates of Easter eggs in total, another, Craig Roberts, of Avonline, in Bristol, personally donated 100 eggs for the cause. Jayla Wilcox, from Simple Recruitment, said: "We collect eggs most years and started collecting this year's about three weeks ago, I have a few more batches to pick up, but we should end up with around 400 altogether!"

The eggs are hoping to be distributed by the end of this week, so that children, aided by the three charities, can have them for the Easter weekend. The company also hopes they can continue with this initiative next year.

Jayla said: "I just want to thank everyone for their support and our clients for being so kind and donating all these eggs, we hope that they can make a lot of children very happy.

"We hope that by doing this, we can create links with these charities, so that we can continue to do more for them in future."
