The history of local pubs and breweries will be the subject of the Midsomer Norton Society’s November meeting tonight at 7.30 p.m. in the Assembly Room at the Town Hall.

The evening, led by Graeme King, will open with a tour in photographs of some of the local watering holes, past and present. Do you remember the Three Horseshoes where Argos now stands? Or The Crown at Welton? The Society is banking on people bringing along their memories and any old photos to create an evening based on lashings of audience participation – rounded off with a short quiz to test your local knowledge.

In order to get ‘into the spirit of things’ and get those memories flowing, the Sarah Ann Bar in the Assembly Room will be open throughout the evening and the usual audience rows will be replaced with bar tables, cabaret style.
