Farrington Park Seniors Open took place on a beautiful day with the course in excellent condition. A number of the visiting teams had not previously encountered the 18 hole Duchy Course but all remarked that it was most certainly a challenging experience. The long thirteenth par 5 and hazardous seventeenth seeming to cause most trouble.

Third place went to Tony Clement, Dave Millington, Don Perry with eighty points, Fourth was Steve Gay, Stephen Davis, Paul Smith with seventy nine points, Fifth Andy Smart, Bob Baker, Mike Hedges with seventy nine points and sixth Laurence Barlow, Martin Stevens, Steve Cockle with seventy eight points.
The friendly fixture away to Cumberwell proved to be a tight affair with Farrington leading 2.5 x 0.5 after the first three games. However a strong finish saw Cumberwell take the last three games to win the match 3.5 - 2.5. We look forward to entertaining them at home on Thursday, 29th September in our penultimate home game of the season.
