With his tenure at Farrington Park almost over, Senior Captain, Rick Clark, has presented two charities with a splendid amount of £1,500 each.
Firstly, a cheque for £1,500 was presented to Verity Clark, the Community Fundraiser for Dorothy House Hospice.
They provide compassionate care and support to those in our community with a life- limiting illness, be that at home, in our community or at one of their three local sites.
At Winsley there is a tenbed Inpatient Unit where patients are admitted for controlling symptoms, respite care and end of life care.
The second charity to benefit from our fundraising was Jamie’s Farm Charity, who enable disadvantaged young people to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
They are committed to building long-term partnerships with schools to give young people a framework of support to engage with their education. Specifically to improve behaviour, improve wellbeing and build self-esteem. The charity now has
fourfarmsintheSouth,with its headquarters in Bath.
