We were pleased to welcome, once again, Sally Helvey from Bath .

Sally gave us a fascinating insight into the life of Jane Austen who lived in Bath for several years from 1801.

The author used the observations of fashionable life in the city in those days to include in her books which are, even to this day, enjoyed around the world.

Sally also updated us on the fantastic progress of the Cleveland pools project which should be ready for visitors in the Summer.

The WI business followed with news of our planned events for the coming months, as well as sporting success in the darts competition and news about the sale of Denman college.

The resolution to be taken forward to the National AGM in London is: Women and girls with ASD and ADHD - under-identified, under-diagnosed, misdiagnosed, under-supported.

All members in attendance voted, most in favour of the resolution, and the result will be given to our delegate who is a member of Timsbury WI.

The next meeting will be held in Tunley Recreation Centre on Tuesday, 14th June at 7.15pm.

Our speaker will be Paul Millard talking about the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes.
