The Redan Inn, Chilcompton, turned its marquee into a food market last Friday, with meat, fruit and vegetables.
The pub recognised the struggle to find fresh and locally sourced food with the outbreak of the coronavirus and subsequent supermarket stockpiling.
Last Friday, The Redan Inn hosted their first market, selling meat, fruit, vegetables, homemade bread and alcohol. The plan is to open daily for as long as they can.
The local public house will also be offering a free daily food service, delivering meals and vegetable boxes for the sick and elderly and have asked people to get in contact if they know of anyone struggling during this time.
