The Trio Paradis – the Palm Court Trio in residence at Midsomer Norton Town Hall – are to mark their return to live performance in Midsomer Norton with a ‘Summer Staycation Special’.

On Friday, 6th August at 12.30 pm they will give a lunchtime open-air concert at the new amphitheatre in Midsomer Norton Town Park. The event is supported by the Midsomer Norton Community Trust and Town Trust, with sponsorship from Midsomer Norton Town Council.

Audience members are invited to picnic while the trio play a varied programme of music from around the British Isles, including well-known folk tunes (The Londonderry Air, My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose, the Floral Dance, Scarborough Fair…), along with jazz and light classics.

The concert marks the first put on by the Community Trust for seventeenth months and is free with donations invited towards the cost of running the series. The Community Trust then hopes to see the series return to the Town Hall, alongside the cinema and other arts events, in the autumn.
