Especially for older learners, the Wellbeing College are running free iPad and Android courses in Midsomer Norton. Don’t feel left behind by technology, you are never too old to learn and most people who come are in their seventies and eighties.

Improve your wellbeing by meeting new people, keeping your brain active and learning skills to help you stay independent and connected. The emphasis is on enjoyment and the courses will be at a relaxed pace with time for a chat and refreshments in the break.

The beginners’ courses are aimed at complete beginners or those who aren’t really sure what they are doing. They will help you gain confidence using your tablet and master basics such as connecting to Wi-Fi, finding things on the internet, using email and taking photos etc. The iPad Moving On course is designed to follow on, or for those who are already confident with the basics of internet and email. An Android Moving On course will hopefully start in April, funding allowing.

You will need to bring your own tablet that is set up and ready to use to the courses. To be eligible you need to live in B&NES or be registered with a GP that is in B&NES.
