Before the pandemic, the children at Peasedown St John Primary School were provided with fruit at break times.
Since returning to school after Christmas, the fruit has not been available, so the School Secretary contacted the local Tesco Express in Peasedown St John to ask if there might be some fruit which had not been sold that could go to the school.
The Manager, Ian Seymour, didn’t hesitate to offer help. However, he did not send ‘left over’ fruit, but provided fresh fruit for the children until normal delivery was resumed. The school want to say a huge thank you to Ian and his team, and to Tesco, for being so generous during this difficult time, and to assure them that the children really enjoyed their playtime treat.
