If you love talking about reading, then there are new friends waiting for you! Reading Friends is a project by Bath & North East Somerset Libraries bringing people together to celebrate a shared interest in books, magazines, or any reading material.

Befrienders are ready for an informal chat with you by phone or online. Perhaps you have a favourite poem you’d love to discuss, or you’re a keen reader of online news. This is your chance to explore your reading and hear about the reading your befriender enjoys. You might pick up some other reading recommendations, too!

Reading Friends is funded by the Reading Agency and helps overcome feelings of isolation by bringing people together, supporting the wellbeing and mental health of everyone who takes part.
