Staff and pupils at Midsomer Norton Primary School are looking forward to welcoming visitors to the school on Wednesday, 5th June for their Open Day (9.30 a.m. – 11.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. – 2.30 p.m.). They are keen to show people around, following Ofsted's judgement before Easter that the school is 'good' in all key areas.

The two-day inspection highlighted many strengths in the school, including children's achievement, the quality of teaching and standards of behaviour. The report, published on the Ofsted website and the school's website, praises the positive attitudes in the school, stating that pupils 'enjoy learning' and 'make good progress'. It also states that school leaders 'have high aspirations for the school and are taking the right steps to achieve their goals'.

Headteacher, Damian Knollys, said: "I am delighted that Ofsted has recognised the hard work of the children, staff and governors at Midsomer Norton Primary. We are continually striving to improve and this inspection provides a good snapshot of the progress we are making."
