Staff at Green Apple Day Spa, which has bases at the Centurion Hotel in Midsomer Norton and at Farrington Park, have organised a special series of events to raise money and awareness for the Look Good Feel Better charity, which provides practical and effective services for women and teenagers struggling with the visual side effects of cancer treatment.
During the week of charity events, which began on Monday, 6th June, Green Apple have been providing make-up evenings to help clients learn tricks to cover up anything their treatment has left them feeling insecure about. A semi-permanent make-up artist is on hand to advise clients and recommend treatments to help with skin care and hair loss following chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Other events taking place include a raffle being drawn on Friday and the spa making donations every time a client chooses pink polish during manicures and pedicures and from the selling of certain products.
Staff have also been making and selling cakes to help raise funds for Look Good Feel Better during its main fundraising week.
The staff at Green Apple would like to thank The Centurion Hotel, Farrington Park, Tracey, their semi-permanent make-up artist, Balance Gym, Amy’s Flower Cabin, the Masons Arms and Beth Louise Photography for donating raffle prizes.
