Pharmacies across the region have restricted opening hours over Christmas, make sure you know which ones are open.
While some pharmacies are directed by NHS England to open on Christmas Day, others may open voluntarily and patients are advised to check if the pharmacy is open before travelling.
In Midsomer Norton, Lloyds in the High Street will be open on Christmas Eve from 8.30 a.m. until 5.30 p.m., closing on Christmas Day and re-opening on Monday, 26th December at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. with normal hours returning on Saturday, 31st December. They are closed on New Year’s Day and open again on Monday, 2nd January from 8 a.m. until 12 noon.
Lloyds at St Chad’s Surgery will be open from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve, they will then close until Saturday, 31st December, where they will be open from 8 a.m. until 12 noon, closed New Year’s Day and reopening again on Tuesday, 3rd January.
Midsomer Dispensing in the High Street will be open from 8 a.m. until midday on Christmas Eve, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Christmas Day, 8 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday, 31st December and 8 a.m. until 12 noon on Sunday, 1st January.
Paulton’s Lloyds pharmacy at Elm Hayes will be open from 8.45 a.m. until 5.30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, closing until 31st December, opening hours will be 8.45 a.m. until 5.30 p.m. They will then close for the New Year and return to usual hours from 3rd
January.
Shaunaks Pharmacy in Peasedown St John will open between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve. They will then close over Christmas, reopening on Saturday, 31st December between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Normal hours will return on 3rd January.
Radstock’s Dudley Taylor pharmacy will be open from 8.30 a.m. until 1.30 p.m. on Christmas Eve – they will remain closed until Saturday, 31st December, opening from 8.30 a.m. until 1.30 p.m. and returning to normal hours after the New Year.
In Westfield, the pharmacy will be open on Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. They will reopen on Saturday, 31st December, 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. and then close for New Year, returning on 3rd January.
In Timsbury, the pharmacy will be open on Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. until
12.30 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday, 31st December, 9 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. Normal hours return from 3rd January.
