For people who want to improve their mental well-being, help is now even closer at hand, thanks to a new service being launched across B&NES.

The Community Links service, run by Sirona Care and Health, has set up peer-led support groups every week- day at venues across the district.People who live in isolation or who suffer depression or anxiety can now find help to improve their health and mental well-being at group meetings, a weekly social drop-in group or even as part of an allotment project.

To mark World Mental Health Day on Friday, October 10th, and the launch of the latest Well-being Group, there will be a coffee morning at the Town Hall, The Island, Midsomer Norton, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Peer-led support groups are being held on the following days and times at the following locations: Mondays, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Bathford Wellbeing Group and Twerton Well-being Group, Mondays, 12.30 p.m. – 3.30 p.m., Green Links Allotment Project (in partnership with Bath MIND), Allotment Site, Monksdale Road, Moorfields, Bath, Tuesdays, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Social Drop-in Group – Hayhill Baptist Church, Fountain Buildings, The Paragon, Bath, Tuesdays, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., Odd Down Wellbeing Group – Odd Down Community Centre, Wednesdays, 11.30 a.m. – 2 p.m., Allotment Project, Leigh House, Wells Hill, Radstock, Thursdays, 12 noon – 2 p.m., Radstock Well-being Group – Leigh House, Wells Hill, Radstock, Fridays, 10.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m., Midsomer Norton Well-being Group – Town Hall, The Island BA3 2HQ, Fridays, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Bath Well-being Group – Percy Community Centre, Fridays, 12.30 p.m. – 2 p.m., Green Links Allotment Project (in partnership with Bath MIND).
