Residents in Peasedown St John are being invited to take part in a community clean-up on Saturday.

Last year, local Councillors, Karen Walker and Sarah Bevan launched a new monthly clean-up scheme where they invite villagers to join them on the first Saturday of the month to give a chosen street a tidy up.

The next clean-up will be held on Saturday 7th July, 11.15 a.m. in Wellow Mead, Wellow Lane, Braysdown Close, Home Farm Close and Red Post Court (meet outside Hillcrest GP Surgery).

Anyone who would like to come should bring gloves and any protective clothing they may want to wear. Litter pickers and rubbish sacks will be provided.

Cllr Bevan said: “We’ve organised many community clean ups over the years, and it’s always good to see residents joining in. People often feel a strong sense of pride and community spirit when they give their time up to do something for the area they live in.”
