THE Heritage Open Day at St John the Baptist, the parish church of Midsomer Norton, was a "resounding success" according to volunteers.
People were given a warm welcome when they stepped through the doors of the Grade II listed building, which has a rich history to share.
Visitors could enjoy the ‘Monuments and Memories’ display detailing church life over the years, and for those brave enough to tackle the dizzying heights, tower tours were also on offer.
A spokesperson said: “The event held on Saturday, September 20, was a resounding success. Thanks go to all involved in the organisation and preparation for the event and helping out in whatever capacity on the day.”
