The Bath Clinic is to begin a multi-million-pound investment in Autumn 2021.

The Bath Clinic’s operating theatres will be completely refurbished with the latest state-of-the-art equipment. The hospital will also have a brand-new day surgery theatre added as a response to strong local demand, which is generating a substantial increase in patient numbers. There will also be a refurbished endoscopy suite, ensuring that doctors have the leading facilities for investigations.

In addition, the hospital is rolling out brand new robotics to support surgeons and patients during joint replacements. The new MAKO robotic assistant uses pre-operative imaging to map and plan a procedure in advance. Prior to surgery, a personalised 3D model is created based on the patient’s own CT scan, allowing the exact size and orientation of the joint implant to be planned. During the operation, the robotic arm guides the surgeon, following the customised pre-surgery plan, reducing the risk of surgical errors in bone preparation and placement of the implants.

The Bath Clinic is part of Circle Health Group, which is investing £100 million in facilities in 2021 alone.
