The Radstock and Westfield Big Local Dragon’s Den event is returning for Round Four this September.
Following the success from previous Dragon’s Den events, the Partnership is pleased to announce the date for the next event will be Saturday, 17th September.
The only rule for entering is that it has to benefit communities in Radstock and Westfield. The Dragon’s Den celebration will take place in the Victoria Hall, Radstock, on Saturday, 17th September starting at 4.30 p.m., it is free to attend and will include a buffet and entertainment via the Acoustic Café, with the talented Emi McDade headlining. The funding will be allocated during the evening by local residents voting and supporting their favourite project. The Big Local has supported over thirty projects over the last three years, where individuals and groups have applied for the ten top prizes of £500. These varied from a CoppaFeel event, painting a tea room within the Radstock Museum and repairing a footpath stile, to new tents for local scouts.
This time around, there is a new venue, but the format will remain the same, all applicants will be invited to present their ideas to a team of ‘kind’ Dragons, who will quiz them, then the decision will be made by the local residents attending the event by voting for their preferred choices.
The closing date for all applications is 5 p.m. on 9th September. Forms are available from: www.radstockwestfield.org.uk/as well as from the Radstock and Westfield Big Local Office at The Oval Office, Cobblers Way, St Peter’s Business Park, Westfield, BA3 3BX, tel: 07845 756700 and can be returned by email to: [email protected] or [email protected] Any questions can be directed to Sarah Westell on: 01749 938506. Forms are also available from Victoria Hall. All applications will be considered, the only thing that cannot be funded is anything the local council should be doing.
