Indie Fairington of Midsomer Norton raised a whopping £891.90 for Dorothy House, on Saturday, 24th August, when she said goodbye to her long hair.
Indie’s long locks will be sent to The Little Princess Trust, who provide real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people up to the age of 24, who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other conditions.
Not only does Indie love her new style pixie cut, but she also raised a brilliant sum for Dorothy House. The JustGiving page will remain open until the end of September in case anyone else would like to donate, visit: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/IndieFairington
The event was well attended by many friends and family who all came together to support Indie, in memory of her mum, and with good weather on the day, it was perfect for everyone to enjoy the BBQ.
Many thanks to Bob and Sarah Bridges, at The Crossways Tavern, for hosting the event and to all the local businesses which donated raffle prizes.
