If you enjoy a good old-fashioned singalong, then the place to be on Saturday, 26th March is St Michael’s Church in the centre of Bath.
Grenville Jones started the Bath Good Afternoon Choirs twelve years ago and since that time, other Good Afternoon Choirs have launched across the West of England. There are now twenty – from Cheltenham to Falmouth. Hundreds enjoy singing in the afternoon.
From 1 pm – 2pm on Saturday, 26th March, Grenville and fellow Good Afternoon Choir leader, Matt Finch, will lead a free ‘come and sing’ session at St Michael’s. The singing will be led by the Bath Good Afternoon Choir with lots of opportunities for everyone to join in and enjoy singing out!
Grenville says: “If you are in Bath that Saturday, then please call in to St Michael’s and enjoy a performance from our Bath Good Afternoon Choir and there will be plenty of opportunities to join in with some well-known melodies. Matt is well known as the Musical Director of Bath Light Operatic Group, and he is the popular conductor of both our Frome and South Gloucestershire Good Afternoon Choirs.
“St Michael’s has a brilliant coffee bar and there is plenty of room to sit and listen or sit and sing! There is no charge, and you can just pop in at any time between 1 pm and 2 pm and take a break from your shopping.”
