Midsomer Norton Community Trust’s series of free family activities continue in Unit 14 this December – all with a festive twist.
Since the beginning of November, visitors have been getting creative with lantern-making, Christmas card printing and notebook-making.
On 10th December, come along from 11am to 2pm to make your own Christmas star decoration. Afterwards, between 2pm and 4pm, there will be a special Santa’s Grotto. Free gifts will be available for up to one hundred children, while parents and guardians can enjoy hot drinks and mince pies while they wait!
Meanwhile, on 17th December, drop in and craft festive crowns and halos. If you like, you can even have a photoshoot in your own Christmas scene.
All sessions are free to everyone, no questions asked, and you don’t need to book in advance.
Activities are accompanied by hot drinks and snacks, WiFi and device charging, books and magazines to read, toys and games to play with, and resources to help you save on your bills this winter.
The programme is being run by Midsomer Norton Community Trust. It has been supported with funding from the National Grid’s Community Matters Fund, Midsomer Norton Town Council, and the Midsomer Norton Cultural Programme (part of the Midsomer Norton High Street Heritage Action Zone, funded by Bath & North East Somerset Council and Historic England).
Thanks to Mendip & District Roundtable for their generous donation towards the Grotto gifts.
