After almost a year of discussion and legal work, the transfer of a square of land at Larch Court in Westfield has finally been completed. All is ready now for it to be transformed into allotments.

Chair of the Westfield Allotment and Garden Society (WAGS), Martin Bates, said: “Thank you to the Parish Council for making this happen, to Lazy Days, for taking on the work to create the allotment site, and to the members of WAGS, whose help will turn this area into an allotment site to enhance the neighbourhood.”

Westfield Parish Council Chair, Geoff Fuller, said: “This is great news for Westfield. The Westfield Allotment and Garden Society (WAGS) has a good track record of creating high quality, well maintained allotments and we look forward to seeing the Larch Court site become just as vibrant. Thank you to all who have worked so hard to get the project this far.”
