You can find out about everything from iPads to printmaking during November at The Hub in the Pub at Chew Stoke. The Hub, run by Age UK B&NES, is open every Wednesday and offers a friendly, social environment to get involved in the activities, have a cup of tea and meet other older people.
Sessions include:
November 9th – Gadget Busters – Get help with your laptop, iPad or tablet, 1.30–3.30 p.m.
November 16th – Art and Craft group, 1.30–3.30 p.m.

November 30th (and December 7th) – A new Accessible Printmaking course, 1 p.m. – 3.30 p.m., run in partnership with Bath College Adult Community Learning. Discover printmaking skills using craft-foam and polystyrene to create unique artworks. No previous experience necessary. A new ‘Extend’ exercise class every Wednesday at the Chew Stoke Methodist Hall,12.30– 1.30 p.m. This is a fun and gentle exercise session for older people, including standing and seated exercises. Call Ketyn on: 01225 484510 to book.
Walking Football every Thursday at Chew Stoke Leisure Centre, 4.30–5.30 p.m., pay as you play, a great way to enjoy football at a more leisurely pace. No need to book, just turn up.
Other activities organised by Age UK B&NES include Tai Chi every Friday at the Upper Hall in The Old School Rooms, 11.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. and the Chew Valley walk programme on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
