Litter louts will have no excuses this summer as additional large bins have been deployed in the barbecue area of Royal Victoria Park.

New rubbish and recycling facilities have been provided including: three specialist bins for disposing of single use BBQs, two bins for glass recycling and three extra-large bins for cans and plastics, paper and card, and for general waste.

“This all goes to show that the Lib Dems are serious about keeping Bath and North East Somerset clean and tidy.

Bath city centre Councillor, Sue Craig, commented: “I know most park users want to be responsible and put their waste in a proper bin, so these new, larger bins will be a big help.”

Councillor Dave Wood, Cabinet member for Neighbourhood Services, added: “More rubbish has been left in our open spaces since lockdown restrictions eased. Find space in a bin or take it home.”
