On Friday, 17th March, local band, Littlemen, take to the stage in Komedia, Bath, to celebrate St Patrick’s Day with their blend of alt-country americana. All three acts playing the event have the Irish connection, but channel their muse, not through the traditional folk of their homeland, but through sounds more associated with the likes of Ryan Adams, Gillian Welch, Wilco or The Civil Wars.

Littlemen singer and songwriter, Simon Allen (originally from Northern Ireland and now living in Radstock), said: “We can’t wait to play Komedia and songs from our debut album, plus maybe the odd St Patrick’s surprise!”

Also on the line-up are the Black Feathers who recently released their critically

acclaimed debut album, Soaked to the Bone. Having recently picked up the Best Duo award at the GSMC Awards and performed at the Americana Association Awards UK, this is a band you cannot afford to miss.

Speaking ahead of the Komedia gig, Ray (originally hailing from Ireland) of the Black Feathers, commented: “Bath is one of our favourite places to play, as the crowds really care about music, they really want to listen to the songs.”

Kicking off the evening is another local musician, Tom Corneill. Tom can sometimes be seen as the front man for the explosive combo, Centrefolds. However, the Komedia gig will show the other side to Tom’s songwriting where he will be playing songs from his two solo albums.

Littlemen will be supporting the work of Bath Welcomes Refugees by donating money from any CD sales on the night. Find out more at: www.bathwelcomesrefugees.org
