Huge congratulations to Nicky Halford, from Time is Precious, who has won the West Woman of the Year Award 2019!

Nicky set up the charity, alongside her husband, Neil, after the loss of their son Ben – providing new equipment and updating wards where children receiving hospital treatment spend time with their families. Nicky said: “I am extremely honoured, humbled, and it was very unexpected.

“I couldn’t do what I do without the volunteers, supporters and fundraisers. It is my family and friends that have got me through everything, especially my husband, Neil.

“Not for a minute did I think I would win anything at all. I was, and still am, totally gobsmacked.”
