Midsomer Norton's Orchard Vale Community Hall was recently the venue for a music video by local five-piece pop punk band, Montrose, who are about to release their debut EP, 'If Only You Knew' on 19th January.
The video was shot with the help of Nathan Matthews, a professional lighting gaffer who has recently built lighting for Lily Allen and One Direction's music videos. Montrose's video had a professional crew and was shot using a Canon cinema camera by Lewis Jelley, who directed, shot and edited the video.
Lewis went to Somervale School and graduated from the University of Glamorgan-Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries with a First Class Honours in Television. Since then, he has been working as a Freelance Producer, Director Cinematographer and Editor, with his main interest being in music video and documentary. Clients he has worked with include Barn on the Farm Festival, Sky, Wimbledon Film and TV Studios, BT and Camden Lock Market.
Both the band and Lewis are hoping for their careers to take off – the video is already doing well and was released on Sunday, 5th January and has since had over 1,200 views.
