The Lions Club of Radstock and Midsomer Norton thank you for supporting us during our carol float collections last month.

We thank Paul for allowing us to ‘garage ’our float at his farm and Lion Rex for doing up the float during the summer months, giving it a much needed coat or two of paint.

This year our insurance obliged us to ensure Father Christmas’s safety by strapping him in whilst the float was moving, that Elth and Safety elf gets everywhere! We thank Dunkerton Car Dismantlers for their donation of a seat belt.

We had great pleasure in bringing Father Christmas to many children in our area, especially as last year we were unable to bring him to the public and we collected over £3,800 which will be used for our charity work locally, nationally and internationally.

Whilst we were able to construct our float, we would not have been able to take it around without the help of Angie, Ann, Bob, Dave, Jacquie, John, Jon, Laurence, Margaret, Mike, Stuart and Susan, who generously gave up their time to help with the collections.
