The past year has been anything but predictable and Mentoring Plus, a Bath based charity working across BANES has thanks to the help of community volunteers provided consistent support for local vulnerable young people.

Ruth Keily, CEO of Mentoring Plus said “We want to take this opportunity to thank our amazing volunteers, they are at the heart of our work. With their support we run vital volunteer mentoring programmes where we match local adult volunteers with a young person, a neutral partnership that focuses on having fun. It has no agenda and enables children to be children no matter what else is going on in their lives.”

Mike, one of the volunteers said about his mentee. “We had a great time, we became good friends, and we both got a tremendous amount from it. I’ll miss seeing him. But I hope he has a sense now of how special he is. And I hope he remembers me for being someone who cared, and who thought he had potential.”
